Landi Kotal: Authorities of Khyber District have seized 30 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine during a targeted anti-narcotics operation, police officials confirmed on Friday.
Acting on intelligence, police intercepted a suspicious vehicle near Landi Kotal, a town close to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered 14 kilograms of crystal meth hidden in secret compartments. Two suspects were arrested at the scene.
Subsequent investigations led police to a local gathering place known as a hujra, where an additional 16 kilograms of the drug were recovered. Two more suspects were detained during the second raid.
District Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal stated that the crackdown is part of a broader campaign to disrupt the trafficking of synthetic drugs in the region. He urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement and report any drug-related activity in their communities.
