The initiative, organized by the Welfare Fund of the Teachers’ Organization in collaboration with the School Teachers’ Fund Bank, aimed to ease the challenges economically disadvantaged students face.

The distribution ceremony was attended by teachers, students, and local community members. Speaking at the event, Sharifullah Afridi, president of the Teachers’ Organization for District Khyber, emphasized the urgent need to address the struggles of students in government schools.
Speaking at the event, Sharifullah Afridi, president of the Teachers’ organization for district Khyber, shed light on the struggles faced by students in government schools. He mentioned that approximately 80 percent of students in schools come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, making it challenging for them to meet basic educational needs.

“Providing essential items like shoes, uniforms and other supplies to these students is a collective responsibility. Education is a right, not a privilege and no child should have to abandon their studies due to financial hardships,” Afridi emphasized.

He also urged philanthropists and socially conscious individuals to extend their support, especially during the harsh winter months.

“Warm clothing, shoes, and other necessities are crucial for these students to continue their education comfortably,” he appealed.

The distribution of shoes brought smiles to the faces of the students, who expressed their gratitude for this thoughtful initiative. Teachers and community members praised the efforts of the Welfare Fund and appealed for continued support to ensure the sustainability of such programs.

This initiative serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating how collaborative efforts can positively impact the lives of underprivileged students, enabling them to focus on their education and build a brighter future.
