LANDIKOTAL: The Khyber district administration on Thursday distributed 13.6 million rupees for the reconstruction of militancy-affected homes in the Khyber tribal district.
Deputy commissioner of Khyber tribal district Mehmood Aslam Wazir was the chief guest in the ceremony held in Khyber House Peshawar.
DC handed over cheques to the owners whose homes were destroyed and partially damaged in militancy-related incidents.
Speaking on the occasion Mehmood Aslam Wazir said that they under the Citizen Losses Compensation Program distributed cheques to 76 families in the Bara Akakhel area of the Khyber district.
He said 2.60 billion rupees had been distributed so far among the damaged and destroyed house owners in the Khyber district. He said a total of 5043 houses had been completely destroyed while 3602 houses were partially damaged in militancy-related incidents.
