TORONTO: The Pashtoon Tahafuz Movement(PTM) in Canada and the Pakistani National Movement jointly organized a protest demonstration in Toronto against the forced disappearance of Pashtuns and Baloch citizens.
The protest was led by PTM Canada leader Professor Siraj and was attended by a large number of Pashtoons and Baloch nationalists.
The protesters alleged that Pakistani authorities had arrested Shabir Baloch and his friends.
The protesters were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the Pakistani security forces.
Speaking on the occasion, PTM leaders including Bukhari, prof Siraj, Mubeen Malik, Karan, Intikhab Alam, Falak Naz, Sabar Sabiri, Baloch leader Salahuddin Baloch and others said that their near and dear ones were picked up and are still missing. They said Pakistan should release Pashtuns and Baloch languishing in jails. They demanded that the Pakistani authorities provide foolproof security to PTM leaders.
The protesters accused the authorities of arresting PTM and Baloch residents to silence their voices for their rights.
They rejected the Pakistani government’s claim that PTM is being funded by India and Afghanistan.
