Ex-Senator Among 5 Killed In Remote-Controlled Bomb Blast In Bajaur

KHAR: Former senator Hidayatullah Khan was killed, along with four others, on Wednesday in a Remote-Controlled Bomb Blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur.

According to sources, the bombing targeted former Senator Hidayatullah When he was travelling for an election campaign for his nephew in PK-22.
The attack took place in Damadola.
Four other men, identified as Irfan, Yar Muhammad, Sami-ur-Rehman and Nazar Deen were also killed in the attack.
All five bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.
Hidayatullah Khan remained a member of the Senate from 2012 to 2024 and also served as the chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Aviation. He was elected as an independent candidate.
He hailed from Nawagai and was the younger brother of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah Khan and the son of former MNA Haji Bismillah Khan. He was also the brother of Dr. Inayatullah Khan, an eye specialist at PIMS Hospital Islamabad
