Provincial Government Pledges Justice for Slain Journalist Khalil Afridi

Landi Kotal: The provincial government has pledged to ensure the safety of journalists and bring the killers of Khalil Gibran to justice, says Provincial Adviser on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Provincial Adviser on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, along with DG Information Muhammad Imran, visited the Landi Kotal Press Club District Khyber to pay tribute to the slain journalist Khalil Gibran.
Barrister Saif recited Fatiha for Gibran and expressed solidarity with local journalists.
During his visit, Barrister Saif said that they were in touch with law enforcement and intelligence agencies regarding the murder of Khalil Gibran.

He expressed deep sorrow over Gibran’s loss, describing his martyrdom as a national tragedy. The government will provide full financial support to Gibran’s heirs and the martyr package for his family.
Provincial adviser on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, along with DG Information Muhammad Imran, also visited Gibran’s family to offer condolences.

Senior tribal journalist and former Landikotal Press Club president, Khalil Jibran Afridi, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in an attack in the Mazrina locality of Landikotal, Khyber District, on Wednesday. His friend was injured in the incident.
