KHYBER: District police officer Khyber Salim Abbas Kulachi said that they have successfully continued their special anti-drugs dealers campaign throughout the district and seized millions of rupees worth of different kinds of drugs in thr past few months.
Salim Abbas Kulachi told Fata Voice News Agency on Thursday that on the strict directives of Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Hayat Khan, they have adopted a tolerance policy against social evils.
He said an active drug trafficking gang has been exposed in district Khyber. He said three of the drug traffickers including a police officer have been arrested.
District Police Officer(DPO) also shared an audio tap with this scribe in which drug traffickers were talking about the Ice drug and heroin quality and price. The smugglers in the audio tap said that they also transported the drugs to India with the help of their partners in Lahore.
Salim Abbas Kalachi said drugs worth millions of rupees have been seized with a total of 3 kilograms and 530 grams of heroin confiscated today(Thursday). He said the anti-drug campaign in the district was underway successfully.

recovered 1,020 grams of heroin from a suspect and arrested him. The suspect was identified as Muhammad Noor, son of Safi Jan from Bazaar Zakhakhel and arrested.
Similarly, he said, during another checkpoint operation at Wazir Dhand locality of Jamrud police apprehended Bahar Gul and Kashif and recovered 1,500 grams of heroin from his possession.
Kulachi said in a special operation at the Takhta Baig checkpoint police recovered 1,010 grams of heroin from a pedestrian suspect identified as Yar Kamal Khan, son of Arab Khan from Bara Sipah and arrested him.
“All suspects are believed to be part of an organized drug trafficking gang, which includes an active-duty police officer, Muhammad Noor. The Khyber Police are committed to internal accountability and will continue to root out corrupt elements within the force. Profiling of additional officers is ongoing to ensure integrity within the department” said DPO.
DPO Saleem Abbas Kalachi emphasized that the Khyber Police were determined to eradicate the drug menace from society. He added that the operation against drugs would continue without discrimination and interruption until they completely wipe out social evils from the area.
