Six soldiers were embraced in gunfight in North Waziristan

PESHAWAR: Six Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred and three terrorists were neutralized during a gun battle in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), on Thursday. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the incident.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), there was an exchange of fire between troops and terrorists in the Dirduni area of the tribal district.
The statement also reported that three terrorists were eliminated, while two others were injured.

The six brave soldiers who fought valiantly before making the ultimate sacrifice for their country are: Havaldar Saleem Khan (age 36 years, resident of District Tank), Naik Javed Iqbal (age 37 years, resident of District Kohat), Sepoy Nazir Khan (age 26 years, resident of District Bannu), Sepoy Hazrat Bilal (age 25 years, resident of District Mardan), Sepoy Syed Rajab Hussain (age 22 years, resident of District Orakzai), and Sepoy Bismillah Jan (age 22 years, resident of District Khyber).

The military is conducting a search operation to eliminate any potential threats in the area and sanitize it to get rid of any terrorists.
