LANDIKOTAL: At least fourteen persons including five women were seriously injured when two groups scuffled with each other in Pirokhel village in Landikotal on Friday, police said.
Landikotal police station Muharrer Turab Khan Shinwari told this scribe that the Mukaram Mian party and Shahbaz Pirokhel parties first exchanged harsh and hard words over the ownership of a piece of land.
He said the land dispute between the families had been going on for a long time. He said both parties used stones and sticks to hit each other, leaving at least fourteen persons injured. He said five women were also among the wounded.
Two of the injured were shifted to Peshawar due to their serious health condition. Police arrested ten persons from both sides and controlled the situation.
