LANDIKOTAL: The three days protest and sit-ins against the killing of innocent five persons including women and children of Sado Khel village ended when the authorities accepted the demands placed by the political party leaders, elders, and social activists at the protest spot here on Thursday.
The political party leaders Shah Hussain Shinwari, Murad Hussain Afridi, Muqtadir Shah Afridi, elders, Malak Masal Khan Shinwari, Malak Darya Khan Afridi, and Malak Abdur Razzaq Afridi hold negotiation sessions with authorities and placed the demands to give full Shukadah package to Sado Khel village blast victims.
Meanwhile, after the local elders and political party leaders hold talks, the Assistant Commissioner of Landikotal, Akbar Iftikhar handed over Rs.2.9 million cheques to the family member of the Sado Khel blast victims.
Rs.1.9 million compensation cheque was given from the deputy commissioner of district Khyber. Officials said.
According to security force officials, Rs.1 million compensation was also included in Rs.2.9 million compensation money.
Other demands like submitting FIR, monthly ration for the victim’s family, admission of children at Army public school, and the transfer of Shafiq’s son from Naran to Landikotal were also accepted.
A young son of Shafiq Afridi is on duty with the Security force (FC) in the Naran Valley. The locals have confirmed.
Sources said that after his transfer, he would perform his services near his home at Tatara range where security forces used to arrange shooting or firing range exercises.
Talking to this scribe, Israr Khan Shinwari, the president of Tanzeem Nawjawana-e-Qabail told that after the Sado Khel blast occurred some three days ago and the relatives buried the five martyred persons, they launched a protest demo on Peshawar Torkham highway demanding justice for the blast victims.
The locals, human rights activists, and social welfare organizations have applauded the quick response of the members and activists of Tanzeeme Nawjawanan-e-Qabail who immediately launched the protest demo and demanded justice for the affected family of Shafiq Afridi.
Earlier, during the last three days’ protest demo, Shah Hussain Shinwari and other leaders strongly condemned the incident that happened with a poor man ‘Shafiq Afridi’ whose four family members and his relatives died when the explosive went off inside his home.
According to Shafiq Afridi, his children had brought some unexposed mortar shells which exploded and killed his children and wife.
