PESHAWAR: At least four Pakistan Army soldiers including a colonel were martyred and four others injured when their vehicle was targeted with a roadside planted bomb(IED) in Kharkamar area of North Waziristan, the erstwhile Fata district in Pakistan, officials said.
A press release here issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that terrorists targeted a military vehicle through an IED planted on road, leaving three officers and soldiers embracing Shahadat.
The martyred Pakistan army officers were identified as “Lt Col Raashid Karim Baig resident of Karimabad, Hunza, Major Moeez Maqsood Baig resident of Karachi, Captain Arifullah resident of Lakki Marwat and Lance Havaldar Zaheer resident of Chakwal”.
Later, the security forces conducted search operations and arrested a few facilitators. Moreover, two FC men were martyred in Balochistan earlier.
