PAJCCI VP calls on newly appointed VC of KMU

PESHAWAR: Former Senate member of Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar, renowned businessman and President of the Abasin Columnists Association, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi, called on newly appointed Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli and congratulated her on assuming the office.

Sarhadi assured the new vice chancellor of his full cooperation in efforts to develop and strengthen KMU further.

During the meeting, he lauded the significant progress KMU has made over the past 19 years under the leadership of former vice chancellors, including Prof. Dr. Dawood Khan, Prof. Dr. Hafeezullah, Prof. Dr. Arshad Javed, and outgoing VC Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq.

He paid tribute to Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq for transforming KMU into one of the country’s prominent universities and for his contribution to the medical and health sector.

Sarhadi expressed confidence that Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli would complete the development projects and initiatives left in the pipeline by her predecessor and would make every effort to further improve the university’s standing at the national level.

Sarhadi, senior vice President of the Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI), also met KMU Registrar Inamullah Wazir and discussed various administrative matters.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli and Registrar Inamullah Wazir congratulated Sarhadi on the Presidential Award Sitara-e-Imtiaz, awarded to him in recognition of his 40 years of service.
