Saudi fast-food giant ALBALK set to start operations in Pakistan

Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s renowned fast-food chain Albaik is poised to enter the Pakistani market, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan announced during his visit to Jeddah. Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), Albaik’s plans to establish outlets in major Pakistani cities are nearing fruition.

During the visit, Minister Jam Kamal Khan met with Albaik’s management and Pakistani employees at their facilities, underscoring the significance of this expansion in enhancing bilateral economic relations. The move is expected to generate employment opportunities while bolstering Pakistan’s fast-food industry and consumer market.

The minister’s engagements in Saudi Arabia also highlighted increased Saudi interest in Pakistani sectors such as construction materials, textiles, and food industries. Discussions centred on fostering business collaborations and investments, supported by Pakistan’s recent ease-of-doing-business initiatives.

With Albaik’s imminent entry into Pakistan and growing trade volumes, the economic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is poised to strengthen further, promising mutually beneficial opportunities for both nations.
