LANDIKOTAL: On Friday, education department officials distributed school bags among 199 orphans and poor children in Bazar Zakhakhel in Landikotal.
A brief and dignified ceremony was held at Government Middle School Zarjan Killay in Brag village which many residents, elders and teachers attended.
Education department official Hazrat Hussain was the chief guest while headmaster Sulaiman Shah, Mujahid Shah, Mubarak Shah, Malik Nadershah Afridi and others also attended the distribution ceremony.
Teachers Association president Malik Nadar Shah Afridi said that they were committed to addressing both the issues faced by teachers and the educational challenges of orphans and needy students. He emphasized the contribution of generous individuals and that it was because of their donations that children were helped.
He urged everyone to contribute their donations and charity so that no orphaned child would be deprived of education.
Malik Nadershah Afridi asked the education department officials to announce special allowances for teachers serving in hard areas. Heads teachers of schools were also provided with a calendar and teacher ideas magazine.
