Two Girls Schools Blown up in North Waziristan

MIR ALI: Two girls’ schools in the Mir Ali sub-division of North Waziristan in the Tribal area were blown up by terrorists, in another incident of violence against educational institutes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Sources said militants had planted an improvised explosive device at The late Dr Noor Jannat Gul Girls School in the village of Musakki which went off and damaged the building but no loss of lives occurred.
Likewise, the Younis Girls School located in Hasukhel village of Mir Ali Tehsil became another unfortunate target of this destructive act, sources added
The officials confirmed this morning that the affected schools were located in the Musakki and Hassu Khel villages of the Mir Ali sub-division. He said that cases against the terrorist acts were being registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
There have been frequent militant attacks on educational institutes in the tribal region in the recent past. Thousands, of students in tribal regions have suffered due to the destruction of schools.
