PESHAWAR: Students belonging to tribal regions on Monday demanded of the federal government to increase seats in all education sectors including medical colleges and engineering universities for the tribal students.
Students from the tribal areas protested outside the Peshawar Press Club holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favor of their demands.
Addressing the rally, tribal student leader Shaukat Aziz demanded that the relevant authorities initiate verification of all Fata domicile certificates submitted for admission to public sector professional colleges over the country.
They alleged that influential officials of the district administration of various tribal regions are duly involved in making fake domiciles with the aid of local Maliks despite the fact they did not belong to the FATA region.
They demanded an Increase in seats for the tribal students in various colleges and universities.
