KHYBER: Three people were killed and three others injured in separate violent incidents in the Maidan area of Tirah Valley on Tuesday, local sources reported.
According to the sources, in the first incident, the wife of Ashna Gul was killed, and his three children sustained injuries when a mortar shell struck their home in the Bar Qambarkhel area of Tirah. The children were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
In a second incident, a six-year-old girl lost her life during an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces in Bar Qambarkhel.
In a third case, unidentified armed men shot and killed a man, whose body was later found dumped in the same area.
Security officials visited the sites of the incidents and started investigations. Residents of the Tirah Valley expressed fear and concern over the growing insecurity in the region.
The injured are reportedly receiving treatment at a local hospital, while authorities are maintaining heightened security to prevent further casualties.
