LANDIKOTAL: Shinwari Welfare Organization on Sunday arranged a collective wedding ceremony of 20 couples in Landikotal.
The wedding ceremony of 20 couples was held in Landikotal where a large number of locals, police officials, civil society members and Shinwari Welfare organizations members were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Shinwari Welfare Organization president Haji Aslam Shinwari said that every year his organization arrange mass wedding ceremony in Landikotal. He said so far he has conducted weddings of 92 poor residents in Landikotal. He said without any donations or financial support from anyone he paid for all home accessories including beds, cooler, fan, blankets solar panels, batteries and wedding clothes. He said a cash amount was also paid to the newlywed.
Aslam Shinwari said besides supporting poor families he also donated medicines, tree plantation and free medical camps.
Families of beneficiaries thanked Shinwari Welfare Organization and Aslam Shinwari for the financial help and offered prayers for him.
Later, food was also served to those who attended the event.
