BAJAUR: A courageous soldier sacrificed his life during a fierce gun battle between militants and security forces in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as confirmed by the military’s media wing in a statement on Thursday.
According to an official statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a fierce exchange of gunfire took place between security forces and terrorists in the vicinity of Loesam, Bajaur District.
The ISPR confirmed that our troops effectively engaged the terrorist position, resulting in the elimination of one militant. Tragically, Sepoy Shafiq Ur Rehman, a valiant 23-year-old soldier from DI Khan, fought with great courage and made the ultimate sacrifice by attaining martyrdom.
It mentioned that the area is currently undergoing thorough sanitization to ensure the elimination of any remaining militants ISP
