PESHAWAR: Security forces conducted operations across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the elimination of 9 militants while 2 soldiers were martyred. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), operations were carried out on May 17th and 18th based on intelligence reports in different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The initial action took place in Lucky Marwat, where a firefight led to the neutralization of 5 militants reportedly backed by Indian support. Similarly, in Bannu, 2 Indian-backed militants were killed during operations, and in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, security forces responded to an attack on a convoy, resulting in the elimination of the attacking militants.

ISPR confirmed the martyrdom of Sepoy Farhad Ali, aged 29, from Karak district, and Lance Naik Sabir Afridi, aged 32, from Kohat district.
Operations continue in these areas to eliminate militants, with a firm resolve by security forces to eradicate Indian-backed terrorists. Security forces reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring peace and security in the homeland, stating that the sacrifices of our soldiers strengthen our determination.
