Rs. 6.5 billion spent on rehabilitation of SWA tribesmen

South Waziristan: The federal government has spent some 6.5 billion rupees on the rehabilitation of terrorism victims in the South Waziristan agency of FATA.

A spokesman of the FATA secretariat told state-run radio that Rs. 0.4 million has been given to the tribesmen whose houses were damaged and some one hundred and sixty thousand rupees were given to those locals whose houses were partially damaged during the terror attack in the area.

The spokesman said that some eighteen thousand TDPs(Temporarily Displaced Persons) have benefited from the rehabilitation fund.

He told the media that survey of the remaining damaged houses were underway to get information about the destroyed and partially destroyed houses in the area.
