LANDIKOTAL: In a major success, Landikotal police have uncovered and foiled a meticulously planned fake kidnapping scheme aimed at financial fraud and arrested three members of an international gang and recovered a significant amount of cash amounting to Rs19 million, police said on Sunday.

Additional Station House Officer Azmat Wali Shinwari told Fata Voice News Agency that the incident began when police received a report about the alleged kidnapping of a man named Rozi Gul. Acting swiftly, the police launched a comprehensive investigation from multiple angles.
Through professional inquiry and intelligence gathering, police uncovered that the reported abduction was staged and that it was a calculated move to obtain Rs37.5 million fraudulently.

The investigation revealed that the fake abduction was designed purely for monetary gain and that the gang behind the drama included local and international elements. The police successfully arrested the prime suspects and mastermind of the scheme, identified as Rozi Gul, along with his two associates, namely Hafiz Noor Habib and Ayanullah.
All three have been shifted to the police lock-up for further interrogation.

During the operation, police recovered Rs. 19 million in cash, which had been taken as part of the fraudulent activity. Authorities believe more recoveries may follow as the investigation progresses.

District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal lauded the efforts of the Landikotal police for their timely and professional handling of the case.
“The Khyber Police have once again demonstrated their commitment to fighting organized crime and financial fraud,” he said, adding that such operations would continue with full force to curb criminal networks.

The case has drawn public attention for its complex and deceptive nature, and police were confident that additional members of the network may be identified and soon behind bars.
