LANDIKOTAL: Advocate Peshawar High Court and former local government Nazim Qubais Shinwari strongly condemned the brutal murder of advocate Mian Asim Shah Kakakhel in Charsadda and demanded for thorough investigation to bring the responsible to justice.

Speaking to a press conference at the Landikotal press club on Wednesday, Advocate Qubais Shinwari said that the brutal killing of Advocate Mian Asim Shah Kakakhel has sparked outrage among the legal fraternity, with strong demands for justice and accountability.

Qubais Shinwari termed it a heinous act that must be a test case for Charsadda police to ensure a transparent inquiry and bring the perpetrators to justice.

He said that the slain lawyer associated with the legal fraternity was mercilessly murdered in Charsadda without any justification.

“We strongly denounce this heinous act and urge the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other responsible authorities to immediately arrest the culprits. A transparent investigation must be carried out and those involved must be handed exemplary punishment,” the lawyer emphasized.

Advocate Shinwari warned that if the perpetrators were not apprehended soon and the inquiry was not conducted fairly, the lawyers’ community would have no choice but to launch a strong protest movement.

He further added that such attacks on members of the legal fraternity not only endanger individual lives but also undermine the rule of law, human rights and public confidence in the justice system.

He said the government must take action to ensure justice for the slain advocate and protection for lawyers across the province.
