LANDIKOTAL: The District Khyber Press Club Landikotal has elected its new office-bearers for the year 2026 through a transparent electoral process, with active participation from local journalists.
Aman Ali Shinwari was elected president unopposed, while Hijrat Ali Afridi won the general secretary slot by securing 11 votes against Jibran Shinwari, who received nine votes.
The election was conducted under the supervision of the Khyber Bar Association. Khyber Bar President Abrar Afridi chaired the election committee, with Taj Mahal Afridi as election commissioner and Ahmad Ullah Khattak as committee member.
Pervaiz Khan Afridi was elected vice president, Shahid Afridi joint secretary and Mian Sajid Khan finance secretary, all unopposed.
Addressing journalists, President Aman Ali Shinwari thanked his colleagues and vowed to make all-out efforts for the welfare and professional betterment of journalists and to raise public issues effectively.
