PARACHINAR: Unknown assailants hurled a hand grenade at the house of a journalist in the Ahmadzai Dal area of Parachinar town on Wednesday morning. However, the journalist, Muhammad Ali Turi, remained unhurt. The blast damaged his house.
According to sources. the home of Muhammad Ali Turi, senior vice president of the Kurram Press Club, Member of Suno FM Radio and Public News TV, reportedly came under grenade attack last night, The explosion broke some windowpanes, a parked automobile, and other things, but no one was hurt.
By igniting dry wood and other materials inside the home, the assailants also attempted to torch the structure, sources added
Muhammad Ali said to local police that his family had no enmity with anyone.
Meanwhile, the Tribal Union of Journalists and the Kurram Press Club have condemned the attack and called on the government to protect journalists.
