LANDIKOTAL: Unknown miscreants targeted the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) center in Landikotal with an improvised explosive device (IED), police sources said on Thursday.
The explosion occurred near the center’s premises, partially damaging the boundary wall of the office. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Police and security personnel reached the site soon after the blast, cordoned off the area and collected evidence from the scene. Authorities have launched an investigation to trace those responsible for the attack.
The BISP center provides financial assistance services to low-income families in the area, and officials said operations were not significantly affected by the incident. Security around public facilities has been tightened following the blast.
