Four Officials Martyred in Bajaur Bomb Blast

KHAR: At least four government officials, including the Assistant Commissioner of Nawagai, were martyred in a bomb blast that targeted their vehicle near Mela Ground in Khar, Bajaur district on Wednesday.

According to official sources, the vehicle was en route when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated, causing a powerful explosion that killed all occupants on the spot.

Those martyred in the attack include Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Noor Hakeem, Police Constable Rasheed, Tehsildar Wakeel and Assistant Commissioner Nawagai Faisal Sultan.

Soon after the incident, security forces and police personnel rushed to the site, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the perpetrators.
The bodies were shifted to the district headquarters hospital for medico-legal formalities.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack till the filing of this report.

The incident has raised serious security concerns in the region, where attacks on law enforcement officials and civil servants have seen a recent surge. The local administration and police have vowed to bring the culprits to justice and ensure the security of government officials operating in sensitive areas.
Funeral prayers for the martyred officials are expected to be held with full official protocol.
