CTD arrests 7 terrorists of suicide blast

JAMRUD: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested seven terrorists involved in the suicide attack on Takhta Baig checkpost, Jamrud Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to sources, The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Wednesday apprehended 7 terrorists belonging to banned outfits, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), during two separate operations in district Khyber.
The arrested terrorists were identified as Ahmedullah, Fazal Amin, Fazal Ahmed, and Muhammad Amir son of Zar Ahmed have been arrested, the spokesman of CTD said while giving the details about successful operations in various localities.
In the second operation, the spokesman said that the three accused Farman, Abdul Qayyum and Inayatullah were arrested from Jamrud. He said that efforts were on to arrest two more terrorists. all the arrested terrorists were transferred to an unknown location.
The further investigation started.
The prime suspect Satana Jan was already killed earlier.
The CTD had recovered explosives, arms and ammunition and important documents from the possession of terrorists.
In January 2023, terrorists, including a suicide bomber, attacked a security check post in the Jamrud area in District Khyber of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa where at least two police officials were martyred and three others were injured.
