KHYBER: Unidentified armed men killed three persons including a police officer and two others sustained injuries in Bara Bazaar firing in Khyber tribal district on Monday, official and local sources said.
It was learnt, that several people were busy dealing with each other in the motor bargain when some unidentified gunmen entered the compound and opened gunfire on them in the Qambarabad area in Bara Bazaar.
As a result, three persons identified as police cops Abdul Wali, Muhammad Afzal and Qismat Khan were killed on the spot. In contrast, two others Abid Khan and Muhammad Hussain Ghazi sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar.
The accused managed to escape after committing the crimes.
Soon after the incident, the police personnel reached the place cordoned off the area and collected evidence.
An investigation was launched to find out the motive behind the killings.
