Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hosts dinner in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Prestigious dinner was held in honour of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi at the Islamabad Club on Saturday which was attended by distinguished Pakistani officials, diplomats from various countries, and representatives from international social organizations.

Governor Kundi presented a positive image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan in his address. He emphasized that the residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are peace-loving and have long been affected by the conspiracies of elements opposed to peace and development.

He urged the global community to work towards addressing the grievances of the province’s people and promoting their development.

The governor highlighted the vast opportunities for investment and tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing all possible facilities for both domestic and foreign investors. He condemned the recent attack on foreign diplomats in Swat, stating that such incidents were an attempt to undermine the province’s and the country’s overall development and security.

Governor Kundi announced plans to invite foreign diplomats to the Governor House soon to enhance the province’s soft image further. Other speakers at the event included Habib Malik Orakzai, Chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Hamid Asghar Khan, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the event, shields were awarded to individuals demonstrating excellence in human rights.
Following the dinner, Governor Kundi mingled with foreign diplomats, including ambassadors from France, Japan, Sri Lanka, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Portugal and the High Commissioner of Canada, discussing the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and various mutual interests.
