DISTRICT KHYBER: The returning Officer on Friday issued official election results of Pk-69,70 and NA 27 after 24 hours of delay de declaring Iqbal Khan Afridi, Alama Muhammad Adnan Qadri and Sohail Khan Afridi winning candidates from District Khyber.
The results were delayed due to various reasons that spread anger among the voters who supported Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party candidates.
According to the final and official results Muhammad Iqbal Khan Afridi received 85514 and was declared the winner in the NA-27 constituency while his opponent candidate of Pakistan Muslim League(N) Alhaj Shaji Gul Afridi secured 18832 votes and was the runner-up.
While Allama Muhammad Adnan Qadri secured the PK-69 slot by receiving 25596 and was declared the winner. Former provincial assembly member Shafiq Sher got 10095 votes.
Sohail Khan Afridi, the supported candidate, also clinched the provincial seat of PK-70 by receiving 31649 votes.
In a media talk Former federal minister doctor Noorul Haq Qadri, Muhammad Iqbal Khan Afridi and Allama Muhammad Adnan Qadri thanked their voters and supporters in their respective constituencies. They said their win was just because Imran Khan’s vision and leadership polished Pakistani citizens and awarded them of true and free Pakistan. Dr Noorul Haq Qadri also thanked Almighty Allah for his team’s win and said that soon Pakistani would see Imran Khan in national politics.
