LANDIKOTAL: A woman was killed while another man sustained bullet injuries when two rival parties exchanged guns firing at each other in Khyber Matakhel village in Landikotal, sources said on Thursday.
The sources said two rival families first exchanged harsh words over the land dispute that led to gun firing. As a result, a woman, the wife of Ali Hazrat Afridi, who was not from either rival party, was hit with a bullet and died on the spot. Nabi Afridi was also injured and taken to hospital.
As the incident happened police reached the spot and arrested one person from each side and started an investigation.
