PA visits, inspects public places at Torkham border

Torkham: Captain(R)Islam Zeb, the newly appointed Political Agent(PA) of the Khyber Agency paid surprise visits to the Torkham border and inspected various public and private departments on Wednesday.

PA Islam Zeb along with the assistant political agent of Landikotal Niaz Muhammad visited the Torkham border and met with officials and other public and private sector employees. He checked the offices of the National Logistic Cell, Pakistan Customs, Nadra, Import and export and Torkham taxi stand. 
 
Islam Zeb also talked with Afghan passengers at the Torkham border and find their traveling difficulties. 
 
An Afghan citizen Naqeeb told PA Khyber that Pakistan should take back the monthly entry and exit conditions placed for Afghan nationals residing in Pakistan.
 
He requested the official that it was hard for everyone to visit the Torkham border along with family members to stamp their passports every month. He said Pakistan should facilitate passengers coming via the Torkham border so that they could meet their near and dear ones in Pakistan.
 
Islam Zeb assured the afghan national and said that they were at their service to help improve traveling facilities for passengers. The officials also checked the goods documentation process and met with Pakistan customs officials. He also inspected the water coolers and shades installed for passengers a month ago.
 
PA Khyber formally locked the Michni check post near the Torkham border and directed the government employees to report to the Landikotal administration office.
