LANDIKOTAL: Senior tribal journalist Mudassir Shah Afridi passed away after suffering a heart attack in Peshawar, family sources confirmed on Monday.

The late Afridi hailed from Sadokhel (Sado Khel) in Landi Kotal, Khyber District. During a journalism career spanning several decades, he worked with numerous national and international media organizations, earning widespread respect for his professionalism and contributions to the field.

According to the family, his funeral prayers will be offered today at 6:30 p.m. in his native village of Sadokhel, Mezan, Landi Kotal.

The news of his death was received with grief by journalists, media workers and people from different walks of life. Condolence messages poured in from across the region, with colleagues remembering his longstanding services to journalism and expressing sympathy with the bereaved family.
