First death anniversary of Maulana Khan Zeb observed

LANDIKOTAL: The first death anniversary of slain religious scholar and nationalist figure Maulana Khan Zeb was observed with reverence and respect at a condolence reference organized by the Awami National Party (ANP) Landikotal at the district press club Khyber jn Landikotal jn Friday.

The event was attended by political and social leaders, ANP workers, tribal elders and people from different walks of life.
Addressing the gathering, speakers, including Shireen Afridi, Siddiq Chiragh, Fazal Rahman Afridi, Malik Masal Khan Shinwari, Tehsil Chairman Shah Khalid Shinwari, Aftab Shinwari Pashteen, Kabir Shah and others paid glowing tribute to Maulana Khan Zeb’s religious, national and social services.

Among those attending were tribal elder Malik Masal Khan Shinwari, Paramedics Association President Mujeebur Rahman Afridi, Communist Party representative Najeeb Khawarichin, Aftab Ahmad Pashteen of PashtunTahafuzMovement and office-bearers and workers of the Awami National Party.

The speakers strongly condemned the killing of Maulana Khan Zeb, describing it as a brutal act of violence. They expressed concern that despite the passage of one year, those responsible for the murder have not been arrested, while incidents of insecurity continue to rise in the region.

They demanded the immediate arrest of all those involved in Maulana Khan Zeb’s murder and urged the authorities to bring them to justice to provide justice to the bereaved family and restore public confidence.
The participants said Maulana Khan Zeb was not only a respected religious scholar but also a strong advocate for national unity, protection of Pashtun resources, public awareness and social harmony. They said his knowledge, integrity and selfless public service had left a lasting legacy that would continue to inspire future generations.
The participants also paid tribute to late ANP leader Ali Ahmad Shinwari, acknowledging his contributions and offering prayers for the departed souls, their elevated ranks and patience for their families.

The event concluded with special prayers for lasting peace in Pakistan, the elimination of terrorism and the restoration of law and order in the region.
