LANDIKOTAL: The government Middle School Jan Mir Killay on Sunday kicked off an awareness walk for the admission campaign to encourage parents to enroll their children in government schools.
The walk was attended by teachers, students, residents and local elders. The campaign was conducted under the special directives of the District Education Officer (DEO) Khyber, Misri Khan.
The Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO) Jamrud, Farmanullah Jan, also led the walk and appealed to parents to ensure the timely admission of their children to government schools.
Participants highlighted the key benefits offered by government schools, including free admission, free textbooks, highly qualified and experienced teachers, quality education and training and a conducive learning environment.
The education officials urged parents to take advantage of these facilities and secure a brighter future for their children by enrolling them in government schools.
The officials said that the walk aimed to motivate parents to send their children to school for enrollment and seek education. They added that several children at each village were reported not enrolled in schools due to unawareness and parents’ ignorance. They said that due to poverty and ignorance, the future of their children was at risk. Parents who attended the walk were urged to enrol their sons and daughters at the nearest schools.
