LANDIKOTAL: A young man was allegedly stabbed to death by his relative in the Landikotal area following over pity dispute over an issue, police said on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Bilal, who was reportedly attacked with a knife by his relative after tensions escalated between them. The incident occurred in the Charbagh picnic area of Landikotal.
SHO Ishrat Khan, the deceased and the killer, was hiking from Bajaur and had come to Landikotal for a picnic. He said that Bilal sustained critical injuries in the knife attack and died on the spot. He said that as they were informed about the incident, the police rushed to the scene soon after the incident and shifted the body for medico-legal formalities.
SHO Ishrat said that police have arrested the accused, identified as Bilal, along with the murder weapon(knife). He added that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
