BARA: At least four people were killed and a teenager injured when a mortar shell reportedly struck a house in the Seray Kandao area of Tirah Valley in Khyber district, local sources said.
The shell hit the house of a resident, Niaz Badshah, killing his two sons, a nephew, and a grandson on the spot. A 16-year-old boy, Matiullah, was injured in the incident.
According to sources, three bodies and the injured were shifted to Mishti Mela Orakzai Hospital. After receiving initial medical treatment, Matiullah was later referred to Kohat Hospital for further care.
The deceased were later laid to rest in their native area. The incident has spread fear and panic among residents of the area.
