PESHAWAR: Five soldiers of the paramilitary troops were injured when unknown armed men opened fire on them in Bara tehsil of the Khyber tribal district on Saturday, official sources said.
The sources said that Frontier Corps(FC) party was on patrol in the Sipah area of Bara when unknown gunmen opened gunfire on them, leaving five FC soldiers critically injured.
The injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar.
Those injured were identified as Lice Naik Imtiaz, Sohail, Waqas, Imran and Sohail Ahmad.
Soon after the incident, the security forces and police reached the place and launched a search but no arrest was made.
