LANDIKOTAL: Three cops sustained injuries in an improvised explosives device (IED) blast that took place in the Serey Kandao area in Tirah Valley on Monday, official sources said.
The officials said that three cops including Serey Kandao police checkpost in-charge Khushal Amin and two other police officials were on their patrol to Peer Mila in Tirah when an IED planted on the roadside went off when the car was passing through it.
The car plunged into a deep ditch after being hit by the explosion.
Soon after the incident, the local people and police retrieved the injured policemen and shifted them to a nearby hospital.
Later police contingents reached the spot cordoned off the area and launched a search but no arrest was made till filing this report.
