Soldier martyred, two terrorists killed in Waziristan operations: ISPR

PESHAWAR: Two terrorists were killed and a Pakistan Army soldier embraced martyrdom during two separate gunfights in the South and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. (KP) ISPR

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two separate gunfights between security forces and terrorists took place. The first exchange occurred in the general area of Razmak in the North Waziristan district, where the security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and killed one of them.
It added that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorist.
The ISPR said that troops successfully engaged the terrorist’s location in another tough encounter in the general region of Karama in the South Waziristan district, killing one terrorist.
During the exchange of fire Naik Fazal Janan, a 32-year-old soldier from District Hangu also embraced martyrdom.
The ISPR said, the area is being sanitised in order to eliminate any other terrorists found there.
Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices by our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, ISPR Adedd.
