PESHAWAR: Tanzeem-e-Ahli Sunnat and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf district Khyber chapters jointly arranged protest rallies on Friday against the blasphemous Crime took place in Sweden.
The protest rallies started from various mosques after Jumma prayers in Landikotal and Jamrud and gathered at Bab-e-Khyber.
They were holding PTI, Pakistani and Tanzeem-e-ahli Sunmat flags in their hands. The protesters also torched Swedish flags and chanted slogans in favour of Islam. Later all the protest rallies gathered at Bab-e-Khyber.
Speaking on the occasion Tanzeem Ahli Sunnat district Khyber vice president Allama Muhammad Adnan Qadri said that it was an unfortunate plote by the so-called democracies in the European Union where repeatedly they committed the blasphemous acts. He said it was a question mark on the faces of those who pretended to be secular and respect religions.
Qadri said freedom of expression did not mean taking steps to violate the rites of Islam. He added that it did not happen for the first time that someone challenged the sentiments of billions of Muslims around the world but Islamic phobia got routed in the Western countries.
He lamented the world Muslim leaders who have not taken concrete steps to force the European countries to take strict action and perpetrators.
“Those cowards who commit the crime must know that Quran is in the hearts of billion of Muslims around the world”, said Adnan Qadri.
Qadri demanded of the government to expatriate the Swedish ambassador from Pakistan. He said Imran Khan had openly told the world at his United Nations address that Muslims will react if anyone goes against Islam and its rites.
PTI leader Muhammad Saddiq, Allam Ihsanullah Junaidi, Allama Shoaib Qadri, Chairman Shamsher Afridi, Nazim Islamuddin, Shakir Afridi and Haji Iqtidar Afridi also spoke on the occasion.
