LANDIKOTAL: One person was killed, and three others sustained injuries when a land dispute between two groups escalated into gunfire in the Sheikh Malikhel area of Landikotal, District Khyber, on Saturday, according to hospital and police sources.
The deceased was identified as Ghulam Akbar. The injured—Basit, Mohsin Raza, and Kifayat—were initially shifted to Landikotal Hospital and later referred to Peshawar in critical condition due to the seriousness of their injuries, police sources said.
Following the incident, local police conducted an operation and arrested three suspects, who were shifted to the Landikotal Police Station for further investigation. Authorities said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Police said the firing occurred over a longstanding land dispute between the two parties. Further details will emerge after completion of the investigation.
