LANDIKOTAL: Landi Kotal journalists achieved a major milestone by inaugurating the Landi Kotal Press Club in District Khyber. The event marked a significant achievement for the local media community.
Landikotal Press Club District Khyber, which will be funded by journalists themselves, will offer an opportunity for the media in the District Khyber to tackle the prevailing obstacles and challenges being faced in the course of their duties.
Journalist Farhad who works for Mashaal Radio said that the centre will provide the media community with a place to meet, solve problems and serve as a forum to exchange ideas and experiences.
The press club will organise training workshops, hold press conferences, and serve as a media centre for all media activities in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Malik Darya Khan Afridi, Tehsil Chairman Shah Khalid Shinwari, Haji Bahadar Khan ShInwari, Ilyas Shenwari, Abdul Ghaffar and civil society.
Later, the journalists elected the Committee for the Press Club, Haji Ahmed Nabi Shinwari as Chairman, and members including Mehrab Afridi, Aman Ali Shinwari, Hijrat Ali Afridi, and Mian Sajid Shinwari.
