MIR ALI: In a tragic incident on Monday morning, four children — including three sons of schoolteacher Shah Fahd — were killed when their home in Harmuz village was reportedly hit by a bomb or an unidentified drone strike. The children were preparing for school at the time. Two women and several other children were also injured.

Residents blame a deliberate attack. According to a local journalist, the government’s initial report claims the deaths occurred during an exchange of fire between security forces and militants. However, it does not clarify how the children were killed in the incident or who was responsible.

The tragedy sparked an immediate protest, with residents of nearby villages staging a sit-in at Mir Ali Chowk, demanding justice and accountability. Protesters are calling for an impartial investigation and questioning the use of aerial force in civilian areas.

When asked by a journalist about the nature and source of the drone, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif refused to comment and left without answering, further fueling public anger.
The region remains tense as grieving families demand answers from the state.
