LANDIKOTAL: The District Khyber Landikotal Press Club has successfully elected its office-bearers for the year 2025 in a democratic and transparent electoral process. Journalists from Landikotal tehsil actively participated in the elections, with Aman Ali Shinwari emerging as the President and Hijrat Ali Afridi elected as the General Secretary.
The results were formally announced by Rahat Shinwari, the chairman of the election committee. The election process was supervised by Advocate Farhad Afridi, President of the District Bar Association, Khyber.
For the first time in the history of the Landikotal Press Club, the election witnessed an unprecedented public interest, with hundreds of people from various walks of life attending as observers. The event took place in the Press Club Hall, where attendees praised the journalists for maintaining a transparent and peaceful democratic environment.
Before the voting commenced, a Khatm-ul-Quran was held to honour martyred journalist Khalil Gibran.
The election process, overseen by Advocate Farhad Afridi and his team of lawyers, drew widespread appreciation from observers for its smooth and impartial execution.
