WANA: A remote-controlled bomb blast injured 10 people, including seven police officers, in the Wana Rustam Bazar area of South Waziristan.

According to sources, the explosion occurred while a polio vaccination team was being transported in a private vehicle along Krikot Road in the Wana Rustam Bazar area.
The powerful blast was heard over a large distance.
All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The blast caused partial damage to the vehicle, and police have cordoned off the area to begin an investigation.

This incident coincides with the launch of a new anti-polio campaign across the province’s 27 districts. The campaign is being conducted in two phases: the first aims to vaccinate over 5.7 million children, while the second phase targets more than 672,000 children.
