RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 10 terrorists and injured eight others in three separate operations in North Waziristan, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on Sunday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Spinwam, North Waziristan District.
During the conduct of the operation, security forces effectively engaged Khwarij’s location and after an intense fire exchange, two Khwarij were killed.
In another incident, the movement of a group of Khwarijs, who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces in the general area of Spinwam, North Waziristan District.
Security forces effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate and two terrorists were killed while two got injured.
Earlier in the day, the ISPR said that six militants were killed and six others wounded in a security operation in the Spinwam area.
The operation was launched following intelligence reports about the presence of militants, according to the statement. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site.
The militants were involved in terrorist activities and the murder of innocent civilians.
