PESHAWAR: Taim Alam, a food vlogger from Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has won TikTok Pakistan’s most significant Food Battle, surpassing top vloggers nationwide.
Taim Alam, who has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, runs a social media channel. His father is a serving police officer as deputy superintendent of police(DSP).
Talking to this scribe after his win Raim Alam said his storytelling-driven content highlights Pashtun cuisine, traditions and hospitality, earning him millions of followers and a sponsored trip to Turkey.
The competition featured Pakistan’s most renowned food vloggers, but Alam’s unique “food romance” style set him apart. Instead of typical food reviews, he presents dishes through poetic storytelling, connecting flavours with cultural heritage, nostalgia and emotions.
His content showcases Pashtun dishes like Kabuli Pulao, Chapli Kabab and Shinwari Karahi, preserving flavours that were fading over time.
Leading his team, “Food Warriors,” Alam secured victory through creative presentation and audience engagement. His growing influence on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook has made him a key figure in Pakistan’s digital food scene.
Alam said as part of his prize, he is going to visit Turkey, where he plans to explore and document Turkish cuisine. He also aimed to promote Pakistan’s diverse culinary traditions by highlighting the foods of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in his upcoming projects.
He said his success was a milestone for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s content creators, proving that cultural storytelling and passion can make a significant impact in the digital world.
