Six Pakistani Soldiers Killed, Six Injured in Terrorist Attack in Central Kurram

SADDA: At least six personnel of the Pakistan Army were martyred and six others injured in a terrorist attack on security forces near the Tor Ghundai check post in the Manato area of Central Kurram, Kurram district.

According to police officials, the soldiers who embraced martyrdom were Havildar Shaukat Habib, Havildar Sabzal, Sepoy Abdul Khaliq, Sepoy Rafiullah, Lance Naik Amjad, and Sepoy Waqas.
The injured include Frontier Corps personnel Mohammad Javed Khan, Mohammad Ayaz, Rab Nawaz, Aamir Shehzad, Mohammad Rizwan, and Mohammad Zaid Sultan. All the wounded were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where hospital sources said the condition of two injured personnel remains critical.
Following the attack, security forces launched a retaliatory operation and targeted militant hideouts using artillery fire. Security sources said several terrorists were killed and injured in the counteraction.
The area has been cordoned off, and a search operation is underway to eliminate any remaining militants, while security has been tightened across the district.
